CES group to acquire microwave technology pioneer MEAC

CES group, a global leader in cooling and freezing processing solutions, announced today that it will be acquiring the industrial microwave technology pioneer MEAC. This transaction will combine complementary technologies and allow CES group to expand its current product portfolio.

Founded in 1989, CES group designs, manufactures and services cooling and freezing equipment for the food, metallurgic and pharmaceutical industries. CES group has state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in both Europe and North America.

MEAC was founded in 1995 as a spin off from the University of Leuven. The company provides industrial microwave technology powered installations for a variety of applications with the main focus on the food, wood, glass and plastics processing industries.
