Cryogenic equipment and services
11,5 ton of frozen Blue Fin Tuna per batch

Two 40 foot cryogenic containers for Spanish Sea Food Processor

CES has installed two 40 foot cryogenic stainless steel containers on a vessel in Southern Spain. The on-vessel freezing gives the Spanish Sea Food Processor an advantage in servicing the seasonal and high quality demand of the tuna industry. They process tuna direct from the many feedlots located in the nearby coastal waters of Murcia to supply the frozen sashimi tuna markets of Japan.

After gilling and gutting, the tuna is rapidly frozen by means of liquid nitrogen on racks in the containers. Each batch that takes   9 hours has a capacity of 11.5 ton of frozen Blue Fin Tuna.
