Cryogenic equipment and services
Cryogenic subzero tempering and heating of ammunition components in ONE unit!

CES Group has just supplied a custom designed cryogenic tempering and heating chamber for a major supplier of ammunition components. The chamber is designed to allow for subzero quenching and heat treatment in one chamber with a working temperature range of -185°C (-300°F) to  +160°C (+325°F).  The temperature control system works in conjunction with a proportional control valve to allow for precise control on customer specified ramp rates and temperature soak times.

The construction features includes a fully welded stainless steel enclosure with steel inner reinforcements. This custom unit is double insulated with high temperature carbon fiber and also with a layer of polyurethane pressure injected foam. The wedge type top loading door slides open and close with a hydraulic mechanism allowing for ease in the customer part loading and unloading process. The electrical panel is UL508A approved and includes the capability for data logging and recording.

This unique treatment chamber will allow our customer to produce top of line components that will increase the longevity and reliability of the end product.
